Clay play

Play Therapy is a highly effective intervention which takes the emphasis off talking about problems.

Play is the child’s natural medium for self-expression

Turtle Play and Creative Arts Therapy is a Gloucestershire-based service provided by Daisy McGrath, a certified Play Therapist. I am on the register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. Previously, I worked as a primary school teacher for 15 years, a learning mentor and with children with additional needs. Having worked with many children living with difficult feelings, I am very aware of how this can lead to behaviours which are often misunderstood and impact on their happiness, relationships and learning.

Play Therapy gives children the opportunity to process and understand difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences in their life. Through a minimum of 12 individual sessions, a child can play and express themselves using a range of creative mediums and other toys, at their own pace and in a safe space, in order to work through and make sense of anything that is impacting them negatively.
